Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
SBC Momentum ("we", "our", "SBC Momentum") takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect on this site, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. It is written in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25. This policy is a translation of the French original; in case of divergence between the two versions, the French version prevails.
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at SBC Momentum is:
Simon Bertrand
Email: simon@sbcmomentum.com
Montréal, Québec, Canada
You can contact this person with any question about this policy or to exercise your rights.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the information you voluntarily provide through the forms on this site:
- Contact form: your name, your email address, your company name (optional), the main challenge you select, the message you write (optional) and the language of the form used.
- Meeting booking: your name, your email address, the date and time chosen for the call, and any details you add. Bookings are processed by the Cal.com scheduling tool (see section 5).
We do not collect any category of sensitive information, and we do not use advertising-tracking cookies or behavioural-analytics tools on this site.
3. Purposes of collection
Your information is used only to:
- respond to your requests for information;
- organize and confirm a discovery call or a meeting;
- follow up on a potential or ongoing mandate.
We never use your information for mass automated prospecting and never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Consent
By submitting a form, you consent to SBC Momentum collecting and using the information provided for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the person identified in section 1.
5. Hosting and transfer outside Québec
This site and its form submissions are hosted by Netlify, Inc., whose servers are located in the United States. The information you submit through the forms may therefore be stored and processed outside Québec and Canada. We make sure the information receives adequate protection through the contractual commitments and security measures of our hosting provider.
Submissions are then forwarded to us and processed in our Google Workspace environment, and meetings are managed by Cal.com, Inc. These providers host their services outside Québec, mainly in the United States, and are bound by their contractual confidentiality and security commitments.
The site also loads fonts and icons from third-party services (Google Fonts and Cloudflare/FontAwesome), as well as the Cal.com booking module, which may record your IP address for technical content-delivery purposes.
6. Retention of information
We keep your information for as long as necessary to respond to your request and, where applicable, for the duration of our business relationship, then for the period required by law. When it is no longer needed, the information is destroyed securely.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS (encrypted connection). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration.
8. Your rights
Under Québec's privacy legislation, you have the right:
- to access the personal information we hold about you;
- to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- to withdraw your consent and ask that we stop using it;
- to ask for your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
To exercise any of these rights, write to the person identified in section 1. We respond to such requests within thirty (30) days of receiving them. If you are not satisfied with how your request is handled, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in legal requirements. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
